The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program designed to make dental care more accessible for Canadians who do not have private insurance and who meet certain income criteria. This program aims to improve long-term oral health by reducing financial barriers.

Coverage depends on the patient’s eligibility and the government-defined coverage level. In some cases, the CDCP may cover only part of the treatment, leaving a remaining balance payable by the patient.
